Miriam Harris Lewis leads Inclusion & Diversity for The Clorox Company. She has global responsibility for creating an inclusive workplace, increasing employee performance, driving better understanding and outcomes for consumers, and ultimately improving business results. Lewis is also responsible for strategic alliances, resource groups and employment branding. Miriam joined Clorox in 2002 and earned roles of increasing responsibility in supply chain and human resources.
In addition to her regular responsibilities, she served as co-chair of Clorox’s annual employee giving campaign in 2013 and 2014 in which over $9M was donated to non-profit organizations. Also, she launched Clorox’s first affinity group outside the bay area.
Prior to Clorox, Miriam served as Group Manager for The Coca-Cola Company. She began her career with First Family Financial Services which was later acquired by Citigroup Financial Services, where she progressed through the ranks to Vice President of Operations.
Miriam, a native of Mobile, AL, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from The University of Alabama. In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Miriam makes time to give back to her church and the community by serving on the Board of Directors for New Covenant Christian Ministries and Ronald McDonald House Charities. She and her husband, Ray, own The Island News Stand in downtown Atlanta, GA and are the proud parents of one son, Ray, Jr.
